Artist Nancy Lee

I’m Nancy Lee from Atlanta, Georgia.  My home base is now Ormond Beach, Florida. My creative nature goes back as far as I can remember as I have always loved “making things beautiful and making beautiful things”. For many years, I worked as a nationally recognized makeup artist in print, television, music and film industry.  From national beauty ads to special effects, makeup was the focus of my creativity.  After retiring, it was a natural transition to move from “painting faces” to painting canvas. That’s when I discovered the beauty in botanical art and fell in love with watercolor.  I love its transparency, the challenge of painting negative space, and the sometimes unpredictable water flow.  Each painting becomes its own journey as I attempt to convey the delicate nature of a flower. I hope you enjoy.
